Killingworth “Watchdog” member Michael Board filed a formal complaint to the State Attorney on February 9, 2012 against various town officials on the grounds that they were deliberately misrepresenting the true potential costs of the Parmelee Farm and farmhouse renovation, at the Parmelee Farm complex on route 81.
“This is not a good day for Killingworth Town Officials”, Mr. Board said. “I suspect this is only the beginning of what we’re going to discover.”

Former First Selectman and Killingworth “Watchdog” member Gerald Lucas, who prepared much of Michael Board’s investigation, said he agrees with Mr. Board, and added he is concerned by the decision of the prosecutor as reports of a scandal could be a black mark on the town of Killingworth and its town leaders.
“We have said from the very beginning we are not the ones to decide if laws have been broken, that is for others to decide”, Mr. Lucas added. “Those responsible in this duplicity could well be receiving a subpoena shortly”.
Board concluded that the investigation is nowhere complete and further findings will be reported shortly.
