To Everything There is a Season

As the season upon us moves along, so do our wonderful farmers' offerings.

Last week's market highlighted July's bounty: tomatoes, peaches, blueberries, flowers, corn, milk, cheese, melon and much much more. Our farmers and producers have some more special treats in store for today's guests.

Phyllis Naples-Valenti of Naples Farm will have the staples no kitchen should be without: garlic, fresh herbs, and red onion braids.

Dragon's Blood Elixr has a special sauce of the week on hand today. The first of the "Farmers' Market Specials," their Unique Destiny Honey Garlic features the Padron pepper. Spanish folklore tells us that "some are hot, some are not." This is a delicate sauce, the garlic and honey are the top notes and the subtle heat is addictive.

GMonkey Mobile is sure to delight the gluten-free among us... Their newly added bread to their already delicious bread line is flourless, grain-free and low glycemic. And - catch this - gluten free old-fashioned cinnamon doughnuts and cupcakes will be on hand, as well.

Perk on Main will be making their famous smoothies with Dondero Orchards seasonal produce and Deerfield Farm's yogurt. Iced coffee will cool you off, as well.
