Memoirs of a Geisha, by Arthur Goldman
Loved this book! Following Sayuri's life from childhood to adulthood, and the description of how she became a top geisha kept me enthralled. It was a culture I knew nothing about. It was amazing how cutthroat it was. The movie was also very good, it followed the book closely.
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time, by Mark Haddon
This book was very entertaining. It was funny and sad at the same time. Written from the perspective of an autistic 15 year old boy, it brings you into his world. Very enlightening. And of course there is a mystery to be solved.
