Work Starts Early, Pointing the 2013 Durham Fair in the Right Direction.

The fair may be a half a year away, but the volunteer work has already begun. Come on down and get involved!

As you enjoy the festivities at the Durham Fair in September, take a minute to thank one the volunteers who work on fair grounds year round. While the fair may only last four days, the grounds require much attention throughout the year. On Sunday, a group gathered to do some spring clean up. Unfortunately, the weather was hardly spring-like as the temperature hovered around 30 degrees. Still, everyone got to work preparing the grounds for this year’s fair. There is much to be done to ensure a successful fair and now is the time to get on board. While department heads are set in place, volunteers are needed on many levels. Whether you like moving earth, pushing numbers, or creating exhibits, there is likely a job for you. (See jobs here)
