Cause Of Death Reported For CT Hiker
Arthur Williams was missing for several days before his body was found Wednesday.

PLAINVILLE, CT — Arthur Williams, 64, the missing Plainville hiker whose body was found Wednesday, died of a gunshot wound to the head, in what the state's Medical Examiner's office has ruled a suicide, reports the Meriden Record-Journal.
Williams had been missing since March 25, and authorities had mounted an extensive search to find him.
An experienced hiker, Williams' body was found by a low-flying helicopter quite a distance off the Metacomet Trail, where was last seen.
