Nonprofit Provides Energy Assistance for Working Families and the Elderly

Energy assistance non-profit Operation Fuel has received the highest rating possible for the eighth straight year from Charity Navigator, which is one of the nation’s leading charity evaluators.

“Only two percent of the charities we rate have received at least eight consecutive four-star evaluations, indicating that Operation Fuel outperforms most other charities in America,” pointed out Michael Thatcher, president and CEO of Charity Navigator.

Operation Fuel is a private, nonprofit program that provides emergency energy assistance year-round through its statewide network of fuel banks to lower-income working families and individuals, the elderly, and disabled individuals who are in financial crisis.
