Kudos on Remodeled Children's Room at Durham Public Library

Kudos to Christine Michaud, Children's Librarian at the Durham Public Library. I was worried when I heard that the children's preschool section was undergoing a remodeling. Sometimes better really is the enemy of good. Over the past few years of living in Durham, I've come to love the coziness of the play area, the bench where parents can sit and chat or read stories to their kids, and the fact that it's small enough to keep track of everyone.

Happily, Michaud knew what she was doing and kept everything we love about the preschool area while improving the line of sight and access to the toddler books. My son had a great time playing there this morning, and I was still able to relax and chat with the other moms.

Check it out for yourself tomorrow, Saturday, June 1st, from 1:00-3:00 at the Children's Room Open House. Sounds like a fun time with snacks, stories, crafts, and no need to pre-register.

Thanks, Christine!
