Clinton Votes For New High School; Guilford's To Cost More Than Expected

Neighboring towns have some big changes coming for its high schools.

Plans are in the works for both Clinton and Guilford to build new high schools.

Clinton Patch is reporting that voters to build a new $64.75 million Morgan School on Wednesday night.

According to the , 2,058 voted for and 2,018 against building a new high school--a difference of just 40 votes.

Madison's other neighbor, Guilford, is making headlines because its estimated cost for a new high school wound up totaling $95 million, the New Haven Register is reporting, a number "higher than the previously approved budget for the project."

Quoting Committee Chairman Scott Pinckney, the article says, “It is normal to be high, and now we’re just looking at how to bring it down."
