According to the , 2,058 voted for and 2,018 against building a new high school--a difference of just 40 votes.
Madison's other neighbor, Guilford, is making headlines because its estimated cost for a new high school wound up totaling $95 million, the New Haven Register is reporting, a number "higher than the previously approved budget for the project."
