Coginchaug Little League Announces Annual BOD Election

Coginchaug LIttle League Announces Annual Election for Board of DIrectors. CLL will be holding our annual elections for the 2016 BOD on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 7 p.m. at our monthly meeting. The meeting will take place at the Durham Town Hall, 3rd floor. All members ”in good standing”, as defined by our league  constitution, are welcome to vote in the election.

Our league has a large number of volunteers that donate generous amounts of time to coaching, serving on committees, working concessions, and as members of our board of directors. However, we constantly need new members to replace those who ”retire” as their children age out of our baseball and softball programs. We are in need of talented volunteers to keep our league successful, and  maintain our service to the youth of Durham and Middlefield.

All positions on the board are open for re-election. All terms are 1 year. No board member is automatically renewed in a position. However, there are several board positions for which we have no current member returning. It is essential that these duties are served by capable and willing volunteers from our league. Coginchaug LIttle League has over 350 members from Durham and Middlefield participating annually in Spring and Fall baseball and softball. 2015 is our 27th year that we have been chartered with Little League. Little League International is the largest youth sports organization in the world, with over 2 million participants worldwide.
