Coginchaug's Destiny Helmedach hits 100th Hit of high school softball career

Destiny Helmedach hit the 100 hit record today at the Morgan Coginchaug Softball game. Batting 3rd in the line up she got her 99th hit right off then was walked and hit by a pitch, what looked like having to wait for another game suddenly turned into her 100th hit. the team played a great game winning 23 to 0. Coach Calcagni stopped the game and presented Destiny with the game ball. The team is scheduled to play again Wednesday against Valley Regional at home.
