Color Mixing, Rainbows and Wishes
Brewster students learn science and language arts through art.
Â
Brewster Elementary School students learned how to mix the secondary colors from the primary colors. It was exciting for them to have there own palette. Â They recorded their very own colors on a color tab (turned into a book mark). Â The next lesson involved review and science. Students learned how rainbows are formed, the weather conditions required (they study weather in the classroom), and the sequence of the colors in a rainbow. Â We played color equation games and filled out sequence sheets. The next two weeks were spent composing a scene with a landscape and rainbow. The lesson will involve using the iPads to make a book. We will be writing and narrating our individual rainbow wishes.
