COLORS OF THE WIND TO HOST TRUNK/MEET THE ARTIST EVENT

Colors of the Wind to Host Trunk Show/Meet the Artist Event Saturday, September 6, 2014

Colors of the Wind Artists’ Emporium & Consignments at 360 Main St., Durham, Connecticut, will host another in a series of trunk show/meet the artist events next month at its studio and store. All are welcome to share in this special event to be held Saturday, September 6, 2014, from 11am to 3pm.

Come and meet featured artisans, Lou and Vanessa Russo, founders of Treefrog & Hedgehog Originals and learn more about Colors of the Wind.

Both Lou and Vanessa have an affinity for rocks and are self-proclaimed “rock hounds”! On a trip to Maine, they started gathering rocks for a home project when their thoughts went in a different direction. Lou decided to try his hand at using polished stones and beads of all types to make jewelry. The stones used in Lou’s jewelry signify attributes such as strength, healing, and courage. Vanessa has always enjoyed photography as a hobby as well as crocheting so she began making gifts for friends and family. The decision was made to combine each of their creative talents and Treefrog & Hedgehog Originals was born.
The crafty couple has their jewelry and crocheted items for sale at Colors of the Wind Artists’ Emporium & Consignments and will be presenting some of their newest creations during this event.
