Connecticut's top Chefs to face off at the first Powder Ridge BBQ Cook-Off

Proceeds from the event will benefit End Hunger Connecticut!

Middlefield, CT (June 1,2015) - Don’t be alarmed if you drive through Middlefield, CT and see smoke rising and the smell of BBQ coming from Powder Ridge Mountain Park on July 25, 2015. In all likelihood it’s the product of prized barbecue pits gearing up for the Connecticut BBQ Cook-Off.

This year some of the best restaurants and cooks from around the state will be joining the competition. “Each of our Chefs has a secret ingredient or technique,” said Powder Ridge’s Executive Chef, Kevin Cottle. “It will be hard to pick a favorite.”

Chefs will be competing for the People’s Choice Award, chosen by guests attending the event and the Judges’ Choice Award. Our guest judges will be food critics, top chefs and local celebrities. Of course, between these contestants the best award is bragging rights for the year!
