He was also driving an uninsured and unregistered vehicle.

PUTNAM, CT — A 25-year-old Woodstock man - sporting a "Hold My Beer" t-shirt - was arrested on Driving Under the Influence and related charges early Monday after he smashed his vehicle into a stone wall on Wilson Road in Putnam, according to state police.

Harrison Wootton was charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle, failure to have insurance, misuse of plates, failure to drive in the proper lane and operating under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

No injuries were reported in the 1:20 a.m. crash, which was investigated by state police from Troop D. Upon their arrival at the scene, troopers discovered that Wootton's vehicle was unregistered and uninsured, and that the "registration plates that were on the vehicle belonged to a different vehicle," wrote state police in a release.
