Currlin, Golschneider Recognized for Service to School District

Outgoing board members honored at final meeting.

Regional School District 13 Board of Education members Bill Currlin and Debbie Golschneider were recognized by the board on Wednesday evening at Brewster School, the pair's final regular meeting.

Proclamations were read in appreciation of their dedication to the district. Currlin has spent the past 17 years on the board, while Golschneider has served the past 12.

"I can't think of another way to spend my time that would bring me this close to all of you, our teachers, our administrators and to the young people in this district," Currlin said. "I will undoubtedly miss all of you, but this is not the end of anything. I will always be watching and supporting all the efforts of our school district."

"I know when I got on the board 12 years ago I remember driving home thinking, "Oh my god, what have I gotten myself into?" The board, our administrators, the staff in the district are just so dedicated and committed to providing the best education possible for the students in our district," said Golschneider. "I will miss my board family."
