Durham Assessor's Office Closing for Vacation

Need to file a personal property declaration? Read on for more information.

Assessor Office Hours: The Assessor’s Office will be closed for vacation Friday, Oct. 24, through Wednesday, Oct. 29. The office will re open Oct. 30 for regular business hours.

If you need to file a Personal Property Declaration, please leave in the Assessor’s drop box on the second floor in the land use office. Jenn will stamp date the declaration. To ensure that the declaration is received, do not leave with anyone else in the town hall.

To obtain a declaration form; you can download a form from www.caao.com. At the top of the page click on resources drop down; select , assessment forms. On bottom left of page select PP short or PP long. All forms are printable from the CAAO web site. Jenn in the land use office will have forms for pick up also. Keep in mind that the filing deadline is November 3, 2014. Any forms received or postmarked after November 3rd will incur a 25% penalty.

All phone messages will be returned on Oct. 30.
