Durham Author and Historian to Speak at Levi E. Coe Library in Middlefield

MIDDLEFIELD, CT — Durham resident and historian Diana Ross McCain is scheduled to be the guest speaker at the Levi E. Coe Library's annual meeting on Sept. 14 in Middlefield.

McCain will discuss her latest book, "Thy Children's Children: A Novel." In the historical novel, McCain traces five generations of the local Lyman family "through the turbulent decades that saw a handful of American colonies transformed into a young nation on the cusp of the modern industrial era," according to the Amazon description.

The Sept. 14 event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the library, and copies of the book will be available for purchase.
