Durham Bank Robbery Suspect Pleads Not Guilty
Susan Braig faces multiple robbery charges in connection to five bank robberies in Connecticut.

The 29-year-old Clinton woman who police said was caught on three different bank cameras donning sunglasses, a moustache and a wig as she robbed five separate banks last year has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Online court records show that Susan Braig, of 55 Cream Pot Road, has entered not guilty pleas in three of the five robbery cases, one of which includes a robbery of a Liberty Bank in Durham on Dec. 6.
Braig was living in Old Lyme when investigators linked her to the multiple bank robberies across parts of the Connecticut River area last year. She has been tied to two robberies in East Lyme, one in Killingworth and another in Essex.
Defendants facing criminal charges typically enter not guilty pleas as requirements to further a case along in the judicial process.
Three of her cases are in the pre-trial stage. This typically means she could elect to take her case to trial or accept a plea deal from the state which would require her to plead guilty to the charges while, at the same time, receiving a penalty that could include jail time.
