Durham Eagle Scout Raising Funds for Brick Patio
The patio will serve as a place to reflect on lost loves ones.

Durham’s Jacob Barton of Boy Scout Troop 27 is on his way to becoming an Eagle Scout.
For his project, he is looking to build a brick patio at a local park. The patio will serve as “a beautification to our community in memory of anyone looking to reflect on a lost loved one,” he said via his GoFundMe page.
Barton is looking to raise funds for the project via a GoFundMe page. As of 1:38 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, $390 out of $1,000 was donated.

“The project will either incorporate engraved bricks or an engraved headstone/plaque overlooking it,” Barton said.
Donations will go toward the cost of pavers, labor, paving prep, engraving, or any other costs added to the final design, he said.
