Daily Briefings
: Starting Friday, August 7 there will be a daily storm briefing at 6:00PM via SaferDurahm Notifications (sign up for notifications)

Power Restoration - Eversource reported that crews have been assigned to Durham however, you must still expect a prolonged outage. Progress will be reported in daily briefings.

Emergency Shelter

The Durham Emergency Shelter will be open beginning Friday at Coginchaug High School. The services provided at the shelter will be limited in order to comply with social distancing protocols as outlined by the state. To-go meals, charging stations, and showers will be provided.

HOURS:

Friday Shelter Hours

Open: 3pm-7pm
Showers: 3pm-7pm
Meals: 4:30pm - 6:30pm

Saturday Shelter Hours:

Open: 7am-7pm
Showers: 7am - 10am and 3pm - 7pm
Meals: 11:30am-1:30pm and 4:30pm to 6:30pm
Hours for future days may be adjusted, as necessary and will be communicated on the daily update.

SHOWERS

Showers are available on a first come, first served basis. There are 3 Showers are on the Men's side and 6 on the Women's. Both men and women will be let into each locker room as long as they are a family. The only handicapped accessible shower is on the Women side and will be available to all that need it. There will be a cleaning period between each use. No toiletries will be provided.

CHARGING STATION

A charging station will be provided, but with a 1 hour time limit. Guests must bring their own chargers. In order to comply with social distancing, phones must be placed on chargers and monitored from a distance. Working on laptops or cell phones while charging will not be permitted.

FOOD
Grab and go meals will be provided during the limited hours above.

Non-potable water: is available at the Durham Volunteer Firehouse.

Thursday: August 6th - 8:00 am to 7:45 pm
Friday: August 7th - 8:00 am to 7:45 pm

TRASH & RECYCLABLES (no metal, no demo, no brush etc.)
Saturday: August 8th - 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
