The deserts of the world are home to a diverse and fascinating community of plants that can store water to survive dry periods. A beautiful collection of succulent plants can be maintained in a sunny window, even here in Connecticut. This presentation will introduce some of the cacti and succulents suitable for cultivation in our area, and discuss techniques for growing and propagating them. This program will be presented by Matt Opel, president of the Connecticut Cactus and Succulent Society. There is no charge for this presentation.
