Regional Mass Casualty Exercise Seeks Volunteers β
The Town of Durham and the Durham Agricultural Fair Association, in cooperation with Connecticut Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, Regional Emergency Planning Team, will be hosting a Regional Mass Casualty Functional Exercise.

The Exercise, will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be hosted at the Durham Fair Ground, Durham CT 06422. The scenario being exercised is an explosion and fire that causes a mass causality incident, on the fairgrounds.
The objectives to be exercised during this event, include the testing of a multi-agency response to this incident. Participating local and state response agencies including Durham Town Leaders, Durham Volunteer Fire Department and Durham EMS, Durham Emergency Management, Durham Animal Response Team, Middlesex Hospital, and the Connecticut State Police.

This Exercise was designed and is being delivered by The Holdsworth Group, Inc, 269 Main Street, Cromwell, CT 06416. It was funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, through the Connecticut Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security.
The Exercise Design Team is seeking volunteers to act as both simulated victims and as a simulated crowd to add realism to this exercise. Volunteers interested in participating may register online.
