DURHAM, CT β€” The Durham Memorial Day Parade will be canceled this year. Organizer Bob Francis, chairman and commander of American Legion Post 184, released the following statement:

"It is with much regret that the Durham Memorial Day Parade will be cancelled for 2020. This cancellation is due to our on-going COVID-19 health crisis and the need for all of us to put public safety first.

"Depending upon our COVID-19 progress during the next month, it is possible that a small, limited participation ceremony will take place. If so, that will be announced by May 15th via a new article and posting on the Durham Town website."
