Durham-Middlefield 12 Graders Say Student Rx Drug Abuse Has Doubled: Report
A community forum will be held in Middlefield on May 16 to discuss the findings in the report.

MIDDLEFIELD, CT - Twice as many local 12th graders are abusing prescription drugs now compared to three years ago, according student responses in a survey conducted by the Durham Middlefield Local Wellness Coalition and the Middlesex County Substance Abuse Council.
The Middletown Press reports 4.6 percent of students in 2013 said they were using prescription drugs for nonmedical reasons, compared to 10.6 percent now.
Those and other findings from the report will be discussed during a community forum at 6:30 p.m. on May 16 at Durham Middlefield Youth & Family Services in Middlefield.
