Durham, Middlefield Under Thunderstorm Watch

The weather finally feels like summer and with that comes humidity and the possibility of the summer thunderstorm.

Thunderstorm watches are in effect for the whole state until 7 p.m. Thursday, March 28., according to the National Weather Service.

Meteorologist Gil Simmons writes:

“A line of thunderstorms likely 3PM-7PM from NW to SE here in CT. A warning for a strong wind gust possible.”

Thursday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8 p.m. Some of the storms could be severe and produce heavy rainfall. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 57. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
