Durham Participating in Mass Casualty Training Exercise
The scenario is an explosion and fire that causes a mass causality incident on the Durham Fairgrounds.

The Town of Durham and the Durham Agricultural Fair Association in cooperation with Connecticut Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, Regional Emergency Planning Team will be hosting a Regional Mass Casualty Exercise.
The Table Top portion of this two part Exercise, will be held on Saturday November 15, 2014, from 08:00 to 16:00 [5 p.m.]. It will be hosted at the Durham Fire Headquarters located at 41 Main Street, Durham CT 06422.

The scenario being exercised is an explosion and fire that causes a mass causality incident, on the Fair Grounds. The objectives to be exercised during this event, include the testing of a multi agency response to this incident.
Participating local and state response agencies including Durham Town Leaders, Durham Fire Department, Emergency Management, and EMS, Middlesex Hospital, and the Connecticut State Police. Part two of this exercise program is planned for the spring of 2015 and will be held on Durham Fair Grounds.

This Exercise was designed and is being delivered by The Holdsworth Group, Inc, 269 Main Street, Cromwell, CT 06416. It was funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, through the Connecticut Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security.
