Durham Public Library Seeks 'Volunteens' for Summer Reading Desk

Durham, CT - The Durham Public Library is seeking volunteers to work part-time at its summer reading desk.

Nicknamed "volunteens," the candidates will help patrons register, hand out prizes and perform other duties around the facility.

"Summer Volunteens earn community service hours for their hard work, and celebrate together with their own special end-of-summer party," wrote officials on the library's website. "Volunteens who work at least six hours will receive a gift bag, water bottle, and earbuds."
