Durham-Raised Author and Illustrator Brendan Wenzel Returns for a Visit
The artist, who now lives in Brooklyn, spoke Monday at the Durham Public Library.

DURHAM, CT — Brendan Wenzel, the author and illustrator of "They All Saw A Cat," thanked the Durham community where he was raised during a presentation Monday at the Durham Public Library, reports the Meriden Record-Journal.
Stressing that Durham has been "beyond supportive" of his efforts, Wenzel walked attendees through his artistic process and what it has been like to be a part of an author tour for an acclaimed book. His father is famous illustrator David Wenzel, who delighted generations with his work for "The Hobbit" and "Little Bear."
"They All Saw A Cat" is Wenzel's first book as author and illustrator, having collaborated with others to illustrate four other books.
