Durham Residents Must Register Dogs Online Or By Mail

DOG LICENSING
No in-person dog licensing due to COVID-19

Dog License Renewal Statements were mailed today for all dogs licensed last year (2019-2020). If you do not receive a renewal statement please follow the guidelines below for licensing your dog(s). The Online Dog Licensing System is expected to be fully operational next year.

RENEWAL BY MAIL
Dog licenses not renewed last year - renew by mail only
• Include updated rabies certificate (if applicable)
• Include spay/neuter certificate (if applicable)
Check or Money Order payable to: “Town of Durham”
All certificates will be returned to you with dog license

RENEWAL ONLINE
Dogs licensed last year (2019-2020), use ONLINE system or, MAIL-IN as above
• Online system available from June 1st – July 31st
• System should prompt you for required updates (rabies, etc.)
• System should prompt you for online payment
• Online dog licensing system link

NEW LICENSES BY MAIL ONLY
Mail Completed Application (Link to Application) with:
• Rabies certificate
• Spay/neuter form (if applicable)
• Check or Money Order payable to: “Town of Durham”
• All certificates will be returned to you with dog license

LATE FEES
Due to COVID-19 late fees begin August 1st
