Durham Student to Play On USA Softball All American Team

Erin Donlan, who is an Honor Student at Frank Ward Strong Middle School in Durham, has been added to the roster of the USA Softball Northeast All-American Team. The Junior Olympic Softball Team will compete in the USA All-American fast pitch softball games being held at the “Softball Capital of the World” in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in August, 2017. The prestigious tournament will be played at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City, the site of the Division I College World Series.

Erin, an exceptional Junior Olympic Athlete, will be one of only 360 girls nationwide in the 12u division being given the opportunity to wear the USA Softball Jersey. Designation to a USA Softball All-American team is the highest honor a player can receive and highlights Erin as one of the top Athletes from across the Nation.

Erin, the daughter of Michael and Renee Donlan, is primarily a pitcher but has also seen duty at third base and behind the plate. A gifted athlete, Erin plays Travel Softball for the 14u Connecticut Shoreline Sting.
