Durham Urges Residents to Check Home Address

The town has launched the Reflective Sign Program, where residents can purchase reflective signs for $15.

DURHAM, CT — Durham emergency personnel officials are urging local residents to make sure their home addresses - the numbers on their homes and mailboxes - are visible and up to date.

"The members of Durham Volunteer Fire Company, Durham Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Durham Emergency Management Department and Durham Resident State Trooper and the First Selectman would like to remind all residents to please check your house numbers and mail boxes to make sure emergency responders are able to locate your address in time of need," wrote officials in a Facebook post.

"Remember an emergency can happen any time day or night so please assist our Emergency Services Departments with checking your address numbering and take steps to assist us, so we can assist you!"
