Durham's Boy Scout Troop 27 Collects 49,000 Bottles at Fair

Great job by Boy Scout Troop 27 and ECO students from CRHS. They collected an estimated 49,000 bottles and cans during the 2014 Durham Fair. The groups sorted the bottles and cans for deposit into clear bags of 200. They also collected 39 large bags of bottles and cans that did not have deposits, metal trays, and cider jugs for recycling. Their volunteer efforts totaled 248 hours. The Recycling project was led by Steve Michael. Thank you!
