On June 16, 2011 we will be holding a Booster Seat Education and Giveaway event presented by Safe Kids CT. This event will run from 6:30-8:30pm at the Haddam Killingworth High School. During the 2 hour event, parents will be provided with a light supper and a presentation with information on booster seats, what happens in a crash, the best practice around car seats/booster seats, the child passenger safety law in CT and surrounding states, and more. At the end of the 2 hour workshop, parents will be given a free booster seat. Children are not allowed in the workshop but parents can call or email for more information on childcare. Eligibility: child must be over 3 years old; child must weigh between 40 and 80 lbs; child must be between 42 and 57 inches tall; and vehicle must have lap-shoulder seat belts in the back seat.
