The Killingworth Library invites families and kids to join in a variety of activities planned for “Bring A Child to the Library Day” on Saturday, February 4.
This fun day at the library will feature the Blue Moon Raptors, an environmental education program starring an Eastern-screech Owl and a Red-tailed Hawk! Blue Moon Raptors rehabilitates ill, injured and orphaned birds of prey to return back to their natural habitat and to share with the public. The program will be held at 10am.
At 11am, come hear a Killingworth Volunteer Firefighter at Story Hour.
Third and fourth graders are invited to Cupcake Decorating at 1pm. Kids can come to decorate their pre-baked cupcakes with a variety of toppings. Space is limited so please call the library to sign up.
Between 2pm and 3pm, join the scavenger hunt with a gift of a free book to those who find all the items in the hunt.
As part of the festivities, interactive story theater will come to life with the Treehouse Players. Watch a mixed up fairy tale unfold or be a player in the story. Help decide the fate of the characters ... improvise, act, create, and move to music. The Treehouse Players will perform at 3pm. All ages are welcome.
There will also be jigsaw puzzles and games set up to play throughout the day, and there are more activities in the works!
Please visit www.KillingworthLibrary.Org or call the library at 860.663.2000 for additional details about this program and all the day’s planned activities.
