Hot meals will be served on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The Durham Café will provide meals to those 60 and over, as well as their spouse, regardless of the age of the spouse. Voluntary donations of $2 are suggested, to defray the cost of the meal, however no one over 60 will be denied a meal if unable to pay. Non-eligible participants will be asked to pay the full meal cost of $4.50.
A reservation system for meals at the cafe is in place, which allows for proper planning and ensures adequate food preparation. 24 hours notice in reservations is required. Reservations can be made in Durham by calling Jan Muraca, Senior Café Manager at 860-349-3153 by 12:30 on Fridays and Tuesdays.
