Free screening of the film "The Power of Community: How Cuba Survived Peak Oil"

A free screening of the film, The Power of Community: How Cuba Survived Peak Oil will be hosted by Durham / Middlefield Transition. A brief discussion session will follow the film.

What would you do if fossil fuels were suddenly no longer available for us to use? How would you get to work with no gas? Would you be able to buy food at the grocery store or a restaurant? How would you heat or cool your home? This very thing happened to the people of Cuba. Their resourseful methods of coping by growing food close to home, riding bicycles, and using renewable energy technology, etc. are both educational and inspiring!
