Summer Paniting Classes - Mixed Media for Beginners

Instructor: Ishita Bandyo

Using a variety of interesting papers, learn how to make monotypes and incorporate them into collages.  Various surface treatments will be incorporated using additive and subtractive methods, such as gels (we’ll make our own specialty gels), rubbing alcohol and bleach pens to achieve many different interesting effects.  Each class will include demonstrations and class projects.  Instructor is a Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts graduate and exhibits all over Connecticut.  Her love for color and texture figures heavily in her mixed media work, and she feels that by incorporating scrap and discarded materials into her art, she is helping the environment in a very small way.
