On Sunday, the So. Windsor Panthers traveled to Durham to face the Falcons. The "C" team's game opened up with a kick return that went 70-yards to put the Panthers on the board early with a 6-0 lead. The Falcons marched down field after the kickoff to answer the Panthers with a 60-yard drive which set up an 8-yard touchdown run by Shea Larkin to even the score 6-6. The Panther's offense had some good runs but not enough to answer the Falcon's score. With a turnover on downs, the Falcon's offense drove again deep into Panther's territory, but the Panther's defense also shut down the Falcon's offense. The second half opened with the Falcons receiving the kickoff. The offensive line, made up of Tyler Garretson, Josiah Martinez, Dalton Sisk, Sebbie Manning, Michael Andrews, Jeremy Mangiameli, and Logan Saks, did a great job blocking so that running backs Michael Roccapriore, AJ DeFilio, and Shea Larkin, could move the ball down field. With a combined total of over 230 yards rushing by all three backs, they put QB, Ryan Doyle, in position for a quarterback sneak for their second touchdown. Ryan Doyle then threw a nice pass over the defenders to Roccapriore who made a diving catch for the extra point. With the score 13-6, the fourth quarter was a test for the Falcon's defense. Defensive back, Jackson Moore used his speed to save two touchdowns in the second half. The Panther's offense drove down the field to begin a first-and-goal from the Falcon's 4-yard line. The Falcons denied the Panthers from scoring using all four of their downs, which forced the Panthers to turn the ball over to the Falcons on their own 2-yard line. Running backs Shea Larkin and Michael Roccapriore along with the power blocking of the offensive line, the Falcons drove down to the Panther's 40-yard line. AJ DeFilio took it the distance to score the Falcon's final touchdown, sealing the victory 19-6. The Falcons "C" team's victory was a total TEAM effort.
