Former District 17 Superintendent, Roland P. Jolie, Dies

Sadly, former Regional School District 17 superintendent, Roland P. Jolie, died Monday afternoon at the Smilow Cancer Center in New Haven, CT. His sons, Tommy and Jeff, were with him when he passed. Roland and his wife, "Dusty," had been living in Florida for the past several years.  Mr. Jolie was Region 17's first superintendent, retiring from the job in 1990. He had lived on Old Ponsett Road in Haddam with his family for many years prior to his retirement. More details will be forthcoming soon.
