Francis To Run For Re-Election In Durham
The town's long-serving first selectman has said she will seek another term.
DURHAM, CT — Long-serving First Selectman Laura Francis has announced she will run for another term in November, The Middletown Press reported. Francis first won the seat in 2007 and won re-elections in 2011 and 2015.
Before that, she served as town clerk for ten years.
Francis discussed her accomplishments such as winning state and federal grants for road improvement projects and the construction of a waterline from Middletown, a project that took three decades and will provide clean drinking water.
