I encourage anyone in need to stop by this event that was designed to provide families in the region with free, fresh produce at a time when many are struggling financially.
The drive-up food box pickup will take place on Friday, August 28th at Connecticut Sportsplex, 216 Foxon Road in North Branford, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or until the supplies run out.
Participants will drive into the Connecticut Sportsplex parking lot, forming a line so volunteers can place the boxes of produce in their vehicles. The boxes will be placed in the backseat or trunk of the vehicle to limit contact, and maintain safe distancing.
Again, weβre appreciative of the help from Cecarelliβs, and we hope youβll share this with any individual or family who could use a bit of produce.
