Have Fun While Supporting Women In Haiti Who Are Having Children

Ct. Walks For Haiti's Goal For Haitian Health Foundation (HHF)

http://www.haitianhealthfoundation.org/ is to raise $4,000 to sponsor 8 women in high-risk pregnancies at the Center of Hope in Jeremie, Haiti. HHF has reduced the area’s maternal mortality rate by offering residential care during critical periods of a woman’s pregnancy. Many of these women come from villages that are 18 hours or more from hospital care, and would certainly be at serious risk of dying from complications during their pregnancies.

CT Walks For Haiti on April 5th runs the 5th annual walk-a-thon and festival to fund the projects of charities working in Haiti. It is a fun event with entertainment, food, snacks, beversges and a silent auction with many choices to bid on. It is fun for families and people of all ages. To view videos and slideshows of last years event visit: www.thecommunityservice.org/cwh13.html

The event will take place rain or shine. For more information about the walk or about making a donation, access the website: www.ctwalksforhaiti.org. or contact Nancy Pelletier at (860) 803-6270; Nancy.Pelletier@comcast.net.

HHF is on of five organizations this event supports. More information coming soon!
