Here are some quick facts to give you an idea of the size of the equipment and what residents can expect during the delivery:
• Hauler is a 12-axle trailer, called a “six-deck-six” and CDOT has pre-approved the weight of the trailer
• The equipment, when on the trailer, weighs approximately 320,000 pounds. The truck and trailer together are approximately 143’ long by 9’10” wide and 15’ 2” tall
• The maximum speed of the hauler is 10 mph
• As dictated in our permit, State Police will be escorting the trailer throughout the delivery
• The delivery of the equipment will be conducted after 7 p.m. in accordance with our permits
• A utility survey was completed, resulting in the need for a bucket truck to travel with the transporter to lift wires as-needed

Per CTDOT regulations, the trailer will be escorted by State Police.
