Help Support Durham Eagle Scout Project
Will Witecki will make signs for Durham Emergency Management to use during emergencies, severe storms, and power outages.

Troop 27βs Will Witecki is raising funds via GoFundMe, toward his Eagle Scout project. As of Nov. 10, $170 out of $200 has been collected.
He writes:
For my Eagle Scout Service Project I will be constructing three signs to be used by Emergency Management in Durham in case of emergencies, severe storms, and power outages.

The signs will show information about when power will be restored, information about the emergency shelters, and any other caused deemed fitting by the Emergency Management Crew.
The signs will include a field on the top which reads βInformationβ which can be replaced with another that reads βEmergency.β

Each sign will have battery powered lights so they are visible at night. They will have room for fliers made by the town of Durham as well as a cork field for any other notices.
The entire sign will be enclosed with a door made of plexiglass so the information can be readily viewed and protected from the weather.
I will be constructing three of these signs to be placed at the three main entrances to the town during a state of emergency.
The donations will augment a donation from the town and will help pay for the cost of lumber, plexiglass, batteries, and lighting for the three signs.
Visit the GoFundMe page for more information or to make a donation.
