Hitchin' Post Tavern Offers Refuge to the Lonely-Hearted on Valentine's Day
Does Valentine's Day make you scowl instead of beam? Join your fellow grumblers over at the Hitchin' Post and drop-kick another V-Day into next year.

If you're nursing a broken heart this Valentine's Day, the Hitchin' Post Tavern on Rt. 17 is ready and waiting for you.
Every year they host an Anti-Valentine's Day evening catering to all the lonely hearts out there. Every Thursday is karaoke night and this Thursday they'll be holding a contest for the best rendition of a sad love song.

Chris Barket, co-owner of the Hitchin' Post, sympathizes with his broken-hearted patrons. "A lot of bad stuff happens on Valentine's Day." This year he's thinking he'll be singing "Austin" by country crooner Blake Shelton.
Bartender, James Nicholson, sees a lot of dates at the Hitchin' Post and can always tell when it's a blind Internet date. "There's always that awkwardness... It either dissolves in a short period of time or you can watch it grow."

Nicholson considers it part of his job to help these fledgling romances and shares, "Alcohol is the social lubricant which helps it all out."
With $7 Bud and Bud Light Pitchers, karaoke entertainment, $1 games on the two pool tables, and a group of fellow V-Day haters, you'll be in good hands at the Hitchin' Post.
