HKMS Seventh Grader Pulls Off Record Breaking Performance
Brooke Perrotta recently broke records in six events in the Connecticut Age Group Swimming Championships.

Killingworth's Brooke Perrotta recently set new records while winning six events at the Connecticut Age Group Swimming Championships held March 15-18 at Wesleyan University in Middletown.
A seventh grader at Haddam Killingworth Middle School, Brooke swims for the Cougar Aquatic Team and won the 100 individual medley with a time of 1:00:83, a finish time that ranks her 14th nationally.

The 12-year-old also set records in the 50 and 100-yard freestyle, and the 50, 100 and 200-yard butterfly. Brooke took home the Overall High Point for 11 and 12-year-old girls.
"You had the best Age Groups performance in the history of the CAT program and you should be so proud! It was awesome to watch you perform at such a high level," Jake Gibbons, Brooke's teammate who set a record in the boys, 15-18 age group, 1650 freestyle, wrote in an email congratulating her.

Brooke is scheduled to swim at the upcoming Zone Championships in Webster, NY on March 29-31.
