Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day Near Durham and Middlefield Saturday

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day will be held in Middletown Saturday, Sept. 17, at Middlesex Community College in Middletown, according to organizers.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and residents of Durham, Middlefield, Chester, Deep River, Essex and other nearby communities are eligible.

Among the items that can be disposed of at the event, include acids, pool chemicals, herbicides, gasoline and diesel fuel, weed killer and disinfectants. Click here for for more information.
