How Bad Are Connecticut Drivers?

Shockingly, motorists in CT are ranked seventh-best in the nation, according to a new report. How can this be?

This may come as a shock to most motorists here in the Connecticut, especially if you'veΒ seen behavior like thisΒ and this: Drivers here are seventh-best in the nation.

That's right.Β 

Pulling information from sources such as theΒ National Highway Traffic Safety AdministrationΒ and theΒ National Motorists Association, aΒ new report from CarInsuranceComparison.comweighs the following factors to come up with one overall score for each of the 50 states plus Washington, DC:

  • Fatalities Rate per 100 Million Vehicle Miles Traveled
  • Failure to Obey (Traffic Signals + Seat Belts)
  • Drunk Driving
  • Tickets
  • Careless Driving
Surprisingly, Connecticut comes in at Number 7, behind only Vermont, Utah, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Oregon and Maine.

The worst? Louisiana.Β
