Injured Fawn Reported In Durham, Officials Ask For Help
Durham's Animal Response Team is looking for the injured fawn.

Shared by Durham Animal Response Team - DART
An injured fawn was spotted on Johnson Lane this morning. When checked on, it had disappeared. We are hoping it wasn't injured enough that it couldn't get up and move on, as we are unsure what the issue might have been. If you live in the area, can you keep an eye out for a fawn in distress and if you see it, reach out to the DEEP or a wildlife rehabilitator in your area!?
Tiffany Hesser, who is the Public Relations Coordinator for DART, said the mother is likely nearby and "we are just more worried about an injury and that the animal is suffering. Even an open wound can be deadly in this weather with flies and tissue damaging maggots as well as infection."
