K-12 Students: Art Contest Offers $100 Cash Prize
Durham and Middlefield students are invited to answer the question: How does the marine industry affect your daily life?

Weβre excited to share the launch of the βDiscover the Marine Industryβ art contest sponsored by NAMEPA, the U.S. Coast Guard, and Sea Research Foundation!
Students in grades K-12 are invited to come up with a creative way to answer the following question: How does the marine industry affect your daily life? Visit the North American Marine Environment Protection Association website for more information.

Twelve finalists will receive a certificate and a calendar with the artwork from each finalist.
Two grand-prize winning artists will also receive a $100 cash prize and a U.S. Coast Guard prize package. There will be one grand prize winner from each of the K-5 and 6-12 categories. The submission deadline is March 1 and winners will be announced by March 31.
